The answers all lie within Hatke’s wonderful fantasy combat-filled graphic novel. How will they save themselves and Maddy? How will they reunite? How will they use a Shelby Cobra to their advantage? Lilly becomes lost and gets help from Goblins, the subservient plodders to the Giants. They find themselves in a land of interconnected dimensions, all connected by vines.Ĭhasing the trail of his sister, Jack encounters Giants with only one goal: to eat a human child.
After Maddy is grabbed by a goblin, Jack and his friend Lilly dive in to the mysterious, magic hole with only their swords and a couple vials of special plant juice to help. Picking up right where Mighty Jack left off, The Goblin King is an action-packed sequel that only intensifies Jack’s responsibilities to his sister. Most of the stories end with a great punchline in the last panel. From terrorizing her brother to helping him run a theater out of their parents’ living room. Over 150 pages of pure mischief, and about 15 pages per story, each one a different slice of young Akissi’s life. A little girl of about seven-years-old in her West African town, she spends her days running errands for her mother, going to school, and playing with the other kids in the neighborhood. What a joy… what a terror! Akissi is nothing but trouble for her parents’ and her brother.
